Do your shoes have memories attatched ?

The title of this upload was going to be "my go-to heels", but once i started picking the shoes i was going to talk about i was pulling out shoes that had certain memories attatched. this is going to be like story time today.

these are my favorite shoes and there stories...

Newlook - £24.99

These shoes are probably the cheapest shoes i own. they only cost me in the end £1.99. what happened was, my second project of my fashion course turned out to be a competition. (it involved making a dress out of duct tape) With my dress i was runner up and won a prize of a £50 gift card to spend anywhere. In the summer of 2011 i spent some on the money and forgot about the card. in late november i was going to my cousins wedding and didn't have any shoes so decided to go around to newlook as they were doing a 20% student discount. i found these and took them to the till and was going to pay by card, as i pulled the card out, the gift card came with it. i asked the lady to scan the gift card and to my luck i only needed to pay an extra £1.99 for the shoes!

Primark - £18 

These were my birthday shoes, that just last month i wore out for the 19th. i had all my work friends, college friends, school friends and brothers out in my local town and had the best night i could have wished for. I may do a post for my birthday seeing as it was only 2 weeks ago ... 

River island - £30 last year sale 

This pair have the best memories. i wore these on a night out with my best friend from work on a night out in a club in my local town. while on the night out i thought someone grabbed my arm. i just carried on dancing. (you know what i gets like in clubs) A few moments later someone grabbed my hand and pulled me off the dance floor. i was confused at first , then when i looked up it was a boy that i have been getting the bus with every day for the last few years, me on the way to college and him off to work, which i know now is a gym. we spent the rest of the night dancing and chatting, such a gentleman. he even told my friend how much he had liked me for the last year and never got the courage to talk to me as he's shy. well this was in the christmas holidays and Im yet to see him again but i will be next week,

My YEAR challenge

My YEAR challenge ...

What have done today? went to college, popped into town to get my mum and I some soup for lunch, came home, ate , watched Tv for a few hours, glued a few pictures down, uploaded a blog post, ate dinner, watched Tv. 

I HAVE BEEN A BUM!

Now as you can probably tell from the daily uploads of blog posts, i am giving myself a bit of a challenge. I want to do a blog post everyday for the next year... well may not be everyday. but you get the gist? as a new years sort of challenge i want to start something as a hobby/ give myself something to do instead of watching crappy Tv / being a bum. 

i know this is a really hard task 365 uploads in 1 year .. but Im going to set my mind to it. when i give myself a goal i tend to stick to it. for example... 

lent 2010 - i  gave up tomato ketchup, and i love tomato ketchup

lent 2011 - i gave up make up! YES make up . FOR 40 DAYS! The one thing i love getting up for in the morning.

So if i can take those things out of my life Im sure i can put an extra thing in?? 

i hope,

How about this, i will probably be away for a few days like on holidays or be ill ?  

if this is the case, i will ( at the most) give 3 post in one day to make up for the days that i could have missed , 

Example : if i miss 4 days, i will put 2 post up per day, for 4 days ? if the maths is correct. 

If i am in a good mood i can post more then 1 in one day also. to give myself a head start ? 

How about i just get started ?

My current favorite lipsticks 

recently in a HUGE room tidy i found LOADS of lipsticks i forgot i even brought, so over the last few weeks i've trying them all out. here are a few of my current favorites ....

Rimmel Kate - 01 

This colour is gorgeous! i wore this all over christmas and new year. there is a slight brown undertone which is great for warmer colours skins. although the colour is great... i find that it can be quite dry after a few hours, but the stay is very good.

BarryM lip lacquer crayon - No.1

I LOVE this! It is the ultimate christmas lipstick! imagine christmas red. its the colour with a hint of gold shimmer. It sounds granny'ish but its looks amazing on. in this picture it is very sheer. Normally i would put a red liner or lip tint under but i wanted to show the true pay off. the lip crayon has not got much stay power but i would say that both the colour and moisture makes up for it. 

Rimmel Kate - No 4 

Having loved the deep red from the kate range i decided to try another colour, i picked up the beautiful greyish purple. its very hard to explain... if your interested go and take a look for your self. the lipstick has a good pigment and a good pay off. this shade has a lot of moisture and last a good few hours before re-applying.

sleek - mulberry 

This looks like the Rimmel kate shade above but its more of a plum shade . it is very sheer and it does need a colour under before applying.

Sleek - fuchsia, matt finish 

Who said bright colours were just for summer ? i love this shade! 

the lipstick its self is EXTREMELY dry, i find that you need a gloss on top! apart from that, the colour is perfectly opaque and the stay is the longest out of all of the above.  this would be better in a sheen finish.

New years glitter nails .

This new years eve i decided to start the celebrations early as i was working. I got all glitzed up for the clients from head to toe, including my nails. so i did a little (sort of) tutorial of what i used on my nails as they were featured on my last blog post. 

this was so simple to do. i put a plain purple and a glitter top coat, so no fussing with putting clear polish and glitter.

See... Easy right :)

Firstly i used No7 speed dry - violetta 44 

They are giving away the No7 vouchers in boots at the moment, its normally £6.25, with the £5 voucher its only £1.25. 

i then used the models own - disco mix 

Its a mixture of both pink and blue glitter. i love these from models own. i picked up loads at the clothes show and ended up getting about 5 for only £10 which is not bad at all seeing as they are about £5 each. 

Another one to try is mixed up which is a black and sliver glitter. 

 The holidays have gone way to quick and I'm back to college tomorrow. its only half a week, not to bad :/ on the plus side, at least my nails look nice ...

FRESH ROOTS ! 

wooooooo !! Ive been soooo lazy recently with my hair. i use crazy colour and pre-bleach. my hair can grow 2 ins in about 2-3 weeks. with working in a hair dressers i have to keep the colour up. but with christmas and being lazy and lying in, i just could not be bothered. But i finally did it yesterday and am so glad. i think i am gradually have ombre but with pink on the roots going down to red ? what do you think? ill put some pictures up of new years. i pre warn you i look a mess as i took these at about 2am and quite a bit of alcohol was consumed :/

i did warm you ...

lipstick - sleek , matte , - mystic 

the lipstick is quite dry so i tend to put a clear gloss over it. 

eye lashes - ebay -10 pack

i really love these lashes ! these are one of the two types i tend to reach for everyday. i get all my lashes from ebay and get 10 sets in a pack for 99p. so in some ways cheeper then mascara if you brought a few packs.

for my shadow i used the sleek storm pallet. this is one of my favorites at the moment. Ive been saving up my super drug points and intend to buy a new pallet every time i have 600 points . The points system i have found to be quite good and only took me 3 months. i go  into superdrug probably once a week to buy  shampoo , paracetamol toothpaste ect so buy buying the essentials, Im getting a reward :)

ANOTHER SALE ??

does anyone else feel like there is constantly sales on? not that I'm complaining! with my birthday a week before christmas and then christmas the money comes in pretty handy. every year in the christmas sales i go and buy a few new pairs of shoes and boots that will keep me going over the horibal winter months that we have in the uk. i also picked up a few other bits...

I LOVE these! they are a bit like the topshop alegra boots ? i got them in river island for £35 ! 

sheer shirts are totally on trend at the moment. found this baby in republic by chance while getting a few bits for my brother for christmas. i probably wouldnt have even looked if it wasnt for the fact it was on the end of the rail. its not a traditional style shirt its kind of like a cape ? but with arm holes. i may have to do a OOTD with this just to show it. a guess what ... it cost £10 !!!

I got this as a present for my birthday. I have seen them in Topshop but never really found one that fit me really well. I went shopping on my birthday and saw this in Newlook. it was only £25 in the sale. they also had it in a plum colour and camel tone. I decided to get away from the winter colours and choose this pink colour, with any luck this will take me right threw to spring.

  

YAY i got an ear cuff :) it hooks on the top of your ear and hangs down. i may take the stars of and replace with another type of charm. im not sure yet. £3 topshop sale.

im not quite sure how much this cost as it was a gift. thought i would show you anyways. i have not worn this out yet but hoping it will look loverly around my new pink blazer jacket :)

CHRISTMASS!!! 


its safe to say i've had the best christmas that i can ever remember. no arguments (well till the day after boxing day that is) Amazing food and all the family. well i did get some really good presents though to be fair. 


bellow are some pictures of my makeup, hair and dress...

i saw these dresses in topshop and they were WAY out of my price range with me going to rome in a few months. so i popped down to my local fabric shops and picked up 3m of navy blue crushed velvet which cost me £3 in total. Crazy right. im quite lucky the next town across from me has a high street full of indian shops. they sell EVERYTHING and all really cheep. they are so friendly and are willing to give you a good deal if you are a good customer. me and all my friends from college all pop down there when we are making are next garments. its alot cheeper then shepards bush, and i thought they were good prices. 

i got these 3 purple bracelets from my brother for christmas. they worked well with my outfit and fitted nicely with my links of london bracelets. 

another prezzie i just had to wear for christmas, following with the navy and purple theme. i love the way that from a distance its difficult to tell if it is black, grey or purple.  rimmel london Kate in number 04. i also got a red 01 ...

i found that if i layered a dark red liner underneath it stayed pul longer and looked opaque.

i took all of these pictures at about 2am so excuse the bags. 

i cannot believe christmas came and went as soon as it did ... hope you all had a loverly day and santa gave you all you wanted
